Compare Instagram Followers and Following: How to Find Who Does Not Follow Back
Instagram gives you no way to compare your followers and following lists inside the app. There is no who does not follow me back view, no filter, no export and no setting that turns one on, so the only routes are doing it by hand or handing your login to a third-party app that does it for you. On an account following a few hundred people the manual method takes about twenty minutes and costs nothing. On a larger account it is genuinely tedious, which is exactly the gap those apps are sold into. This page covers both methods honestly, explains what the ratio between the two numbers actually signals to someone reading your profile, and warns about the one step that gets accounts restricted.

Why Instagram will not compare the lists for you
Instagram deliberately provides no comparison tool. The followers list and the following list are separate views with no cross-reference between them, no sorting, no filtering and no way to mark an account as one that does not follow you back.
The one clue the app does give you sits on the profile itself. Open any account and look under their name: if they follow you, Instagram shows Follows you as a small label. That label is the whole built-in answer, and it works one profile at a time.
There is also no export. Instagram's data download does contain your followers and following as files, but it arrives as a bulk archive rather than a comparison, and it takes time to be prepared. It is a real option for someone comfortable opening those files, and no use at all for a quick check on a phone.
Start closing the gap between the two numbers
100 followers is our smallest order. Username only, priced in pounds through PayPal, with delivery starting within minutes.
How to compare the two lists by hand
The manual method uses the Follows you label. Open your profile, tap the Following number, and work down the list opening each account. Any profile that does not show Follows you under the name is one you follow who does not follow you back.
It goes faster than it sounds if you sort the job. Do it in sittings of twenty or thirty accounts rather than trying to clear a list of eight hundred in one go, and start from the bottom of your following list, because the accounts you followed longest ago are the ones most likely to have drifted.
For a smaller account there is a quicker version. Open the Followers list and the Following list side by side over two sittings and note the names that appear in one and not the other. Below about two hundred accounts this is faster than opening profiles one at a time.
- Open your Following list and work down it in short sittings.
- A profile without the Follows you label does not follow you back.
- Start from the oldest follows, which is the bottom of the list.
When unfollowing alone will not fix the shape
500 followers delivered across the order window so the count climbs steadily. Orders complete within 0 to 24 hours.
What third-party comparison apps want in return
Almost every app that compares your followers and following asks you to sign in with your Instagram username and password. That is the price, and it is worth weighing properly rather than tapping through.
A tool with your login can act as your account: post, message, change settings and follow or unfollow at speed. Instagram also treats logins from outside tools as a risk signal, so the account carrying the consequence is yours rather than the app's.
The safer version of the same information is Instagram's own data download, which gives you your followers and following as files without giving anybody your password. It is slower and less convenient, and it is the only route to a full comparison that does not involve handing over access.
For an account that follows a lot of people
A larger order with a 30-day refill behind it, delivered to a public profile with nothing renewing afterwards.
What the ratio between the two numbers signals
The ratio people actually read is following against followers. An account following two thousand people with three hundred followers reads as an account that has been chasing follows, and visitors judge that before they look at a single post.
The reverse shape reads as authority. An account with many followers and a short following list looks like something people chose to follow rather than something that went looking. That is why the ratio is worth caring about at all: it is a first impression, not a metric Instagram uses.
Instagram does not rank your posts by the ratio. Nothing in your reach depends on it. The whole effect is on the human reading your profile and deciding in a few seconds whether the account is worth following, which for most people is reason enough to keep it tidy.
The largest single followers order
Paid in pounds through PayPal, delivered across the order window, with no password asked for at any stage.
Why bulk unfollowing is the step that gets accounts limited
Instagram limits how many actions an account can take in a short window, and a burst of unfollows is one of the most common ways to hit that limit. The result is the action blocked message, and it lands on your account rather than on whatever tool you used.
Spread the work out instead. Unfollowing a modest number a day over a fortnight achieves the same tidy list as clearing four hundred in an afternoon, without the pattern that triggers a restriction.
It is also worth being slower than the tools want you to be. The whole selling point of an unfollow app is speed, and speed is precisely the part that causes the problem, which makes it a poor trade even before the password question.
Fixing the ratio from the other side
There are two ways to improve a lopsided ratio: follow fewer people, or have more followers. Unfollowing is free and slow. Raising the follower count is the other half, and for an account that genuinely needs the numbers to fit each other, doing both is faster than doing either.
InstaBoost is a UK service selling Instagram followers, likes, reel views, story views, saves, shares and reposts. Prices are in pounds, checkout is through PayPal, there is no account to create with us and we never ask for your Instagram password. Followers start at 100 per order.
An order needs your username and a quantity, because sending follows to a public profile does not require access to your account. Delivery starts within minutes of payment clearing and orders complete within 0 to 24 hours, with larger orders spread across that window rather than delivered in one burst.
The limits worth knowing before you order
Your account must be public while an order is delivered. A private profile cannot receive followers, because every follow would sit as a pending request waiting for your approval. You can set it back to private once delivery has completed.
Some drop is possible. Instagram runs periodic sweeps that remove accounts it judges to be inauthentic, and those sweeps reach every profile on the platform, including plenty that have never bought anything. Every order here carries a 30-day refill, so if the count slips inside that month we put it back.
We do not sell free followers, free trials or free samples. Sites offering them generally want your login, an advert impression, or a follow of their own in return, and the follow-for-follow schemes in particular make the ratio problem worse rather than better.
Questions people ask before ordering
Can I compare my Instagram followers and following inside the app?
Not directly. Instagram gives you two separate lists with no cross-reference, no filter and no comparison view. The only built-in clue is the Follows you label under a person's name on their profile, which works one account at a time.
How do I see who does not follow me back on Instagram?
Open your profile, tap the Following number, and open each account in turn. Any profile that does not show the Follows you label under the name does not follow you back. It is slow but it costs nothing and it needs no third-party app.
Are unfollow tracker apps safe to use?
Almost all of them ask for your Instagram username and password, which gives a third party the ability to act as your account. Instagram also treats logins from outside tools as a risk signal. If you want a full comparison without that, request Instagram's own data download instead, which includes both lists as files.
Does the follower to following ratio affect my reach?
No. Instagram does not rank your posts by the ratio between the two numbers, so nothing about your reach depends on it. The effect is entirely on the person reading your profile, who forms a quick impression from those two figures before looking at any of your posts.
Can unfollowing too many people get my account blocked?
It can. Instagram limits how many actions an account can take in a short window, and a burst of unfollows is one of the most common ways to hit that limit, which produces the action blocked message. Spreading the work across a fortnight avoids the pattern entirely.
What is a good followers to following ratio?
There is no official number, and it matters most when the two figures look badly mismatched. Following two thousand accounts with three hundred followers reads as an account that has been chasing follows. Having more followers than accounts you follow reads as an account people chose.
Can I improve the ratio by buying followers?
Buying followers raises one of the two numbers, which changes the ratio and the first impression it gives. It does not increase your reach, bring comments, or replace posting. We sell followers from 100 per order, priced in pounds and paid through PayPal, with a 30-day refill on every order.
Do follow-for-follow schemes fix the problem?
They usually make it worse. Every follow you give to get one back adds to your following count, so the ratio you were trying to fix moves in the wrong direction. Those schemes also fill your feed with accounts you have no interest in, which makes the app less useful to you.
