See Recent Instagram Followers: Every Way to Check Who Just Followed You
To see your recent Instagram followers, open the app, tap your profile picture, tap the Followers number and read from the top: your own followers list is ordered newest first, so the account at the top followed you most recently. The notifications tab is the second place to look, because follows appear there alongside likes and comments in the order they happened. Those two views are everything Instagram gives you. There is no date stamp on a follower, no history of people who left, and no way to see another account's newest followers. This page explains what each view actually shows, what it quietly leaves out, and what to do with the information once you have it.

Where your most recent followers are shown
Your own followers list is sorted newest first. Open your profile, tap the Followers number at the top, and the first account on that list is the most recent person to follow you. The second is the one before that, and so on down.
That ordering only applies to your own list. On somebody else's profile Instagram reorders their followers around you, pushing accounts you already follow towards the top, so the same list looks different depending on who is reading it.
The search box at the top of the list is worth knowing about. On an account with thousands of followers, scrolling is slow and typing the first few letters of a username is instant. It is the only navigation the list has, because Instagram provides no sort or filter controls.
Give the list something new at the top
100 followers is our smallest order. Username only, priced in pounds through PayPal, delivery starting within minutes.
The notifications tab is the second place to check
Follows show up in your notifications alongside likes, comments and mentions, in the order they happened. Tapping the heart icon gives you a running feed of who followed you and roughly when relative to everything else.
This view is more useful than the followers list for the last few days, because it puts follows in a timeline with the rest of your activity, so you can see which post a burst of follows arrived after.
It does not go back forever. Older notifications drop off, so the notifications tab answers who followed me this week far better than it answers who followed me in March. For anything older, the followers list is the only record.
- Followers list: newest first, complete, but no dates and no context.
- Notifications tab: recent only, but shows follows in a timeline with your posts.
- Neither view gives you an exact date and time for a follow.
When the count has been flat for months
500 followers spread across the delivery window so the number climbs rather than jumps. Orders complete within 0 to 24 hours.
Why Instagram never shows a follow date
Instagram does not publish the date a follow happened, anywhere in the app. There is no timestamp on the followers list, no export that includes one, and no setting that turns dates on.
The closest you get is position. Because your own list is newest first, the order carries the same information in a rougher form: an account near the top followed you recently and an account near the bottom followed you long ago.
One thing distorts even that. If someone unfollows you and then follows again, they move back to the top of the list, because the order reflects the current follow rather than the first one. So the list is a record of live follows in the order they happened, not a permanent history of arrivals.
Before a pitch or a relaunch
A larger order with a 30-day refill behind it, delivered to a public profile with nothing renewing afterwards.
You cannot see another account's recent followers
There is no view, on any Instagram surface, that shows you a stranger's newest followers. When you open someone else's followers list, Instagram sorts it around your own connections rather than by when each person followed them.
That is a deliberate design choice rather than a bug or a hidden setting, so no amount of digging in the app will produce a chronological version of another person's list.
Tools that claim to track a competitor's new followers work by logging in as an account and watching the list repeatedly. That means handing over a password, and it means running the kind of repeated automated activity Instagram limits accounts for. The information is rarely worth either.
The largest single followers order
Paid in pounds through PayPal, delivered across the order window, with no password asked for at any stage.
Unfollows leave no trace inside the app
Instagram does not tell you when someone unfollows you. There is no notification, no entry in your activity, and no list of past followers to compare against. The person simply stops appearing on your followers list.
This is why unfollow trackers exist and why almost all of them ask for your Instagram login. They work by storing a copy of your followers list and comparing it against a later copy, which they cannot do without access to your account.
If you want to keep track without handing over a password, the low-tech version works: note your follower count each week. It will not name the person who left, but it tells you whether the account is growing or shrinking, which is the part that actually affects anything.
What to do with a new follower in the first week
New followers decide whether to stay within a few days. Someone who follows you and then sees nothing from you for a fortnight has no reason to remember why they did it, and unfollowing takes one tap.
Posting a story within a day or two of a batch of new follows is the simplest way to hold them. It does not need to be polished, and it puts the account back in front of somebody who has only just met it.
It is also worth looking at which post the follows arrived after, using the notifications timeline. The content that wins followers is usually a narrower slice of what you post than you would guess, and finding it is more useful than any general advice.
Where new followers come from when you order them
Ordered followers appear at the top of your followers list, in the order they are delivered, exactly like any other follow. Nothing marks them out, because Instagram keeps no record of where a follow came from.
InstaBoost is a UK service selling Instagram followers, likes, reel views, story views, saves, shares and reposts. Prices are in pounds, checkout is through PayPal, there is no account to create with us, and we never ask for your Instagram password. Followers start at 100 per order, delivery begins within minutes and orders complete within 0 to 24 hours.
The limits are worth stating plainly. Your account must be public while an order runs, because a private profile holds every follow as a pending request. Some drop is possible on any account, since Instagram periodically removes profiles it judges to be inauthentic, and every order here carries a 30-day refill for that reason. We do not sell free followers, free trials or free samples.
Questions people ask before ordering
How do I see my most recent Instagram followers?
Open the app, tap your profile picture, then tap the Followers number. Your own list is sorted newest first, so the account at the top is your most recent follower. There are no dates on the list, only the order.
Does Instagram show when someone followed you?
No. Instagram publishes no follow date anywhere in the app, and there is no setting that turns dates on. The order of your followers list is the only clue, because it runs newest first. The notifications tab gives rough timing for recent follows only.
Can I see someone else's recent followers?
No. When you open another account's followers list, Instagram sorts it around your own connections rather than by when each person followed them. There is no view anywhere in the app that shows a stranger's newest followers in order.
Where do follow notifications appear?
Follows show up in the notifications tab, reached by tapping the heart icon, alongside likes, comments and mentions in the order they happened. It is useful for the last few days because it puts follows in a timeline with your posts. Older notifications drop off, so it will not answer questions about months ago.
How can I see who unfollowed me on Instagram?
Instagram does not tell you. There is no notification, no activity entry and no list of past followers to compare against, so the person simply disappears from your followers list. Trackers that claim to show unfollows need your Instagram login to store and compare copies of the list, which is a real risk for a small piece of information.
Why did my follower count go up but nobody new is at the top of the list?
The most common reason is that someone who already followed you unfollowed and followed again, which moves them to the top rather than adding a new name you do not recognise. Refreshing the list also helps, because the app caches it. If the count moved by a large amount, check the notifications tab for the run of follows.
Do bought followers show up at the top of my list?
Yes. Followers delivered from an order arrive in the order they are sent and appear at the top of your followers list, exactly like any other follow. Instagram has no concept of where a follow came from, so nothing marks them as different.
Can I get free Instagram followers to boost the list?
Not from us. We do not sell free followers, free trials or free samples, and sites offering them usually want your login, your attention for adverts, or a follow of their own in exchange. Our followers start at 100 per order, priced in pounds and paid through PayPal, with a 30-day refill on every order.
